Non-Features
To set clear expectations and help avoid any surprises, please take note of the following limitations:
No internal battery
No Wi-Fi 7 (would require installing https://bigqam.com/wlan-pi-m2-atoe-key-adapter and an Intel BE200)
No OTG or back power protection
* WLAN Pi OS disables these interfaces by default because they interfere with configuration settings within the OS. However, they can be re-enabled by making modifications to the boot configuration.

The current generation of WLAN Pi is based on the Raspberry Pi platform and runs WLAN Pi OS, a customized fork of Raspberry Pi OS tailored with opinionated features specifically for Wi-Fi engineers.

The WLAN Pi M4 is powered by the Raspberry Pi Compute Module 4 (CM4), hosted on an Mcuzone carrier board. It features an M.2 (A+E key) Wi-Fi 6E module and internal tri-band antennas, all enclosed in a sleek, 3D-printed PETG case.
